Hello,
I have been a librarian in the Seattle Schools for over 20 years. Currently I am half time in each of two schools: Arbor Heights and Graham Hill. I am at Arbor Heights Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays and Fridays.
Each class has a 30-minute visit to the library each week to learn about literature and do research. Fourth and fifth graders will participate in the Global Reading Challenge in February. Grades K-3 will participate in voting for the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award book this spring. The library boasts a collection of over 12,000 books, and received a Krentz grant for new books in 2006.
I am fortunate to have the privelege of working with all of the students and teachers in this school. Parents and families, please feel free to stop in.
